SIR - Yes, it is that time of year when hedges are overgrown and not being looked after by our council. As a community who take care of our elderly neighbours, we should be able to see them through the overgrown hedges. These people are vulnerable and should not be ignored.
Look down Chelwood Avenue and see which the council own. Mums with buggies can just about move on the pathway without getting scratched by the bramble. The council are busy arranging to cut trees but what about the hedges?
