SIR - I have read your articles (WHT March 12 and 26) about the park by Bushey Ley.

I have taken my young daughter to said park a few times but don't any more as there have been groups of teens shouting abusive language and getting rowdy.

Also following the path around the back of the new houses to Ridgeway there have been a number of instances of smashed windows, ours included.

Last year we had mud, sticks and stones thrown/catapulted at our house breaking a number of windows, even when we were in the garden!

The council said to get in touch with the police and we did this each time but they have never done anything. I have been round to each of the houses at the back of the lane and they say the same thing. When I have gone running around to see who has thrown the stones they always run off into the trees or towards the park and have been told by other people they hang around at the park.

I chased a group off once and they left a bike in the lane so I phoned the police asking what to do and they said leave the bike alone as I would be done for stealing.

Yet all I was hoping was for the parents to come around and I would explain why I had it and yet again the police did nothing.

I'm not saying that this is all teens, just a minority as ever.

There is not enough for teens to do in WGC, everything is in neighbouring towns. You see it at McDonald's, in the evening there is usually a large gang of teens either just standing around or every so often causing trouble and police being called.

Please can the council do something to cure the boredom for them and give them good activities etc to do.
