SIR - I was interested in the article concerning Asda clamping down on parking violations in restricted areas.
As a disabled diver I have witnessed on many occasions the abuse of these areas. But I am surprised they are relying on the existing car parking attendants to deal with offenders.
Many are students who, I feel, know the majority of offenders, being also students.
I welcome any clampdown that enables me to park more easily, but will they also put tickets on the numerous Hertfordshire police vehicles that also park in these spaces or indeed cause an obstruction by parking between the disabled marked areas when attending Asda for shopping, refreshments or call of duty?
