SIR - Regarding the letter from Gordon Aitken in last week's WHT - could I just point out that Brookmans Park (where our MP lives) has been part of Hatfield for at least the 34 years I have lived here.
Our postal address is Brookmans Park, Hatfield but our telephone exchange is Potters Bar - so we could be said to be "on the edge" of the constituency.
However, it is surely much better to have an MP living locally who appreciates our problems personally and keeps them in the public eye than someone who only views things from outside.
