SIR - Has anyone else noticed dog waste in bags littering public amenities? Our local nature reserve suffers from the usual picnic rubbish: crisp bags, sweet wrappers, beer-cans, bottles etc. But there is a new arrival. This is dog poo tied carefully inside plastic bags. Dog poo left alone will quickly decompose, whereas that inside a bag will be there for a very long time.
Most dog owners make commendable efforts to remove their pets' waste. Bagging it up and putting it in the bins provided or taking it home for disposal is fine. Putting it in a bag and then leaving it lying around, or worse still hanging on a tree, is not. Please either bag and dispose or move it off the path and then leave well alone.
