SIR - Following the recent attack on a jogger on the Alban Way, please could the council do a proper prune of the bushes and trees along the route? One section recently had the verge strimmed but nothing done to low-hanging branches, large bushes encroaching on the path and brambles sticking out. Less undergrowth and clearer views up and down the route will mean people can see and be seen and may help deter such incidents.
As a local cyclist I deplore this attack and would urge any local cyclist who may know anything to contact the police with whatever information you may have.
