Tickets for an annual summer music festival in Hatfield have gone on sale.

The best priced tickets for Folk by the Oak 2019 are now available from the festival’s website at www.folkbytheoak.com

The all-day folk and acoustic festival will return to the grounds of Hatfield House on Sunday, July 14, 2019 – the day after the Battle Proms concert.

Super early bird tickets are priced £34.50, with the cost rising to £38 from February 1 until midnight March 31, 2019.

Organisers said: “If you’re planning to join us again for another day of wall-to-wall sublime music, inspiring activities and delicious food in a stunning setting, be sure to book online by the end of January and get your early bird tickets for just £34.50.”

The regular adult ticket price from April 1 until midnight July 13 will be £41.

Tickets will be £46 on the day of the festival, subject to availability.

Children aged five to 15 pay £18 at all times, and it is free for youngsters age four and under.

The full 2019 line-up has yet to be announced, with only The Lost Words – Spell Songs confirmed so far for the main stage.

The folk supergroup project features the combined talents of Karine Polwart, Julie Fowlis, Seckou Keita, Kris Drever, Kerry Andrew, Rachel Newton, Beth Porter and Jim Molyneux.

As for the rest of the FBTO 2019 bill, organisers say: ”As ever we are hard at work curating a line-up that combines iconic artists, festival favourites and talented newcomers.

“We will be announcing many exciting names over the coming weeks.”
