The theme for this year is 'fragility of freedom', which reflects on the challenges faced by millions of people around the world who suffer from prejudice, discrimination and hostility because of their identity.

Mayor of Welwyn Hatfield Cllr Pankit Shah welcomed people to the service, followed by words from Vice Lord-Lieutenant Anthony Chapman, vice-chair of Welwyn Hatfield Youth Council Ava Mohammad Aghaei and Wendy Lidgate from Welwyn Hatfield Interfaith Group.
