FANS of US medical comedy Scrubs should head over to Hatfield this weekend for a dose of hilarity, courtesy of Sacred Heart hospital’s very own loser lawyer, Ted Buckland.

Yes, a capella group The Blanks – Ted’s Band from the programme – will be performing at the Forum Hertfordshire on Friday, December 2.

Back by popular demand after appearing at the College Lane venue’s Flirt club night last year, the quartet – better known as actor Sam Lloyd’s real-life band – will be making a full live appearance in Hatfield.

The quartet came to prominence when they were written into the script of the hit American show, frequently popping up to perform male-voice renditions of popular commercial jingles and TV themes.

Their live show features a cappella music, comedy sketches, skits, antics, choreography a five-year-old could memorise, talking toys as lead singers and mildly effective costume changes.

Sam and fellow band members Paul F Perry, George Miserlis and Philip McNiven will also no doubt be showcasing a selection of their greatest “hits”, which over the years have included such gems as Maniac from Flashdance, the themes to Charles In Charge and Six Million Dollar Man and a host of TV ads when they take to the Forum stage again.

Last year’s club PA sold out and tickets to see Ted’s Band on their own are selling fast.

But the Welwyn Hatfield Times has teamed up with the Forum Hertfordshire to offer two pairs of tickets to see The Blanks in Hatfield on December 2.

To stand a chance of winning the tickets, simply answer the following question.

In which US medical programme do The Blanks appear?

a) ER

b) Scrubs

c) Grey’s Anatomy

To enter, send your answer to The Blanks competition, Welwyn Hatfield Times, 31a Howardgate, WGC, Herts, AL8 6AP or email comps@whtimes.co.uk

Remember to include you name, age, address and daytime contact numbers and email.

The closing date is 9pm on Thursday, December 1.

Normal Archant rules apply.

* All concert dates are subject to change.
