GARY Numan appears live in Hatfield later this week – and you could be in the audience if you win tickets to the show in the Welwyn Hatfield Times’ latest Forum Hertfordshire competition.
ONE of electronic rock music’s most influential artists will be appearing live at the Forum Hertfordshire on Sunday.
Gary Numan stops off at the Hatfield music venue just a day after appearing at the Nightmare Before Christmas All Tomorrow’s Parties Festival in Minehead, Somerset.
Following his chart-topping success in the ’70s with Are ‘Friends’ Electric? and Cars, Numan has influenced a host of bands and singers as diverse as Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Magnetic Man, Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor, Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age.
And an ever-growing list of artists have covered and sampled his music, ranging from Basement Jaxx to Damon Albarn and the Sugababes to RZA and GZA from the Wu-Tang Clan.
Sunday’s Hatfield show follows the release of atmospheric new album Dead Son Rising, which was co-written and co-produced by Numan’s musical collaborator for the last six years, Ade Fenton.
Tickets for the concert cost £25 in advance but the Welwyn Hatfield Times has teamed up promoters Academy Events to offer three pairs of tickets to the Forum gig.
To stand a chance of winning, simply answer the following question:
