REMEMBER to put your clocks forward an hour tonight (Saturday) as the UK moves into British Summer Time.
* In spring, the clocks go forward, losing an hour – at 1am GMT the UK moves to 2am BST.
* In autumn, the clocks fall back, giving an extra hour – at 2am BST the UK moves to 1am GMT.
British Summer Time (BST) officially beings at 1am on Sunday, March 25, when clocks spring forward 60 minutes.
Clocks should be put forward an hour to 2am as the UK moves out of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
This means losing an hour in bed on Sunday morning, but on the plus side evenings will be lighter as summer approaches.
BST starts on the last Sunday in March and ends on the final Sunday in October.
When do the clocks change again in 2012?
BST will end this year on October 28, when clocks will go back at hour – giving us an extra hour in bed.
In 2013, BST will start on March 31 and clocks will go back on October 27.
The daylight saving time dates for 2014 are March 30 and October 26.
