Toot, toot! The cat (or Mole) is out of the bag!

Brilliant Theatre Arts is holding principal cast auditions in St Albans for its 2018 production of The Wind In The Willows The New Musical.

Written by Julian Fellowes, with music and lyrics by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, the musical is based on the novel of the same name written by Kenneth Grahame.

Auditions will take place on Saturday, January 13 at The Alban Arena from 10am.

Producers are looking for principal characters aged 18 to 70.

The day will be a combination of ensemble work to begin with, followed by some individual time with the producers and casting team.

Slots will be allocated on the day, so please be prepared to wait for a short time.

Those auditioning for their individual slot should prepare:

• A one-minute modern monologue from a published piece (post-1960);

• 16 bars of a song, preferably in a similar style to the show (sheet music only, no backing tracks).

If successful, rehearsals will take place on Sunday afternoons in St Albans from Sunday, February 4, with venue and times TBC.
