Rat Pack at Hawthorne Theatre in Welwyn Garden City

THE Rat Pack Vegas Spectacular featuring the swing music of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jnr comes to Welwyn Garden City next week.

THEY say what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.

But thankfully at least one great thing came out of the desert city and has gone on to create a legacy of its own.

The Rat Pack Vegas Spectacular at the Hawthorne Theatre, in WGC, on Friday, March 9 recreates the wonderful heyday of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jnr in an all-live, all-singing extravaganza of a show.

Recalling those legendary nights at the Sands Casino, the evening features the Rat Pack Trio alongside The Rat Pack Orchestra and The Fabulous Vegas Showgirls – and with songs guaranteed to melt the heart and keep the feet tapping.

Come Fly With Me, Mr Bojangles, I’ve Got You Under My Skin, The Lady is a Tramp, New York New York and Mack The Knife are all there, along with many other favourites, plus, of course, Sinatra classic My Way.

The Rat Pack Trio themselves keep the night rolling with a stream of patter and banter between the songs, living up to their idols’ reputation as The Purveyors of Cool.

Tickets costing £20 are going fast, so why not grab a little bit of that Vegas magic and head on down to the Hawthorne Theatre.
