An EastEnders original and a Tracy Beaker actress have been announced as two of the stars of this year’s Harpenden pantomime.

The 2015 panto at Harpenden Public Halls is Aladdin.

It will run from Friday, December 11 to Tuesday, December 22, with 16 performances.

This magical family panto will star EastEnders original Peter Dean, who played Pete Beale in the BBC One soap for many years.

He will be the evil Abanazar in this year’s Harpenden panto.

Rochelle Knowles Gadd will play Aladdin.

She starred in Grange Hill, Hollyoaks and Tracy Beaker, and is really excited to be coming to Harpenden this Christmas.

Peter and Rochelle will be joined on stage by BBC Three Counties Radio’s Ernie Almond, local singing sensation Sophie Massie, and Harpenden panto favourite Chris Law.

St Albans-based actor Simon Nicholas will be donning a frock to play panto dame Widow Twankey.

This year’s panto at the Southdown Road venue will be packed with great songs, loads of comedy, bags of audience participation and fabulous scenery and costumes.
