THE PROCLAIMERS have announced a live date in Hertfordshire for later this year following their appearance at the 2012 V Festival.
YOU won’t have to walk 500 miles to see The Proclaimers in Hertfordshire later this year.
For the Scottish twins have announced a massive 28-date UK tour for October and November, including a show in St Albans.
Following this summer’s main stage appearances at the 2012 V Festival being held in Chelmsford’s Hylands Park and Weston Park in Staffordshire over the weekend of August 18-19, Craig and Charlie Reid will play the Alban Arena on Wednesday, October 17.
The brothers, best known for 1987 top three hit Letter From America and the following year’s smash I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles), celebrate their 25th anniversary with new CD Like Comedy, which is released on Cooking Vinyl on May 7.
Since coming off the road in the summer of 2010 after a 15-month world tour, Craig and Charlie have spent a year writing and subsequently recording their ninth studio album in Bath with producer Steve Evans at the helm.
The first single from the album, Spinning Around In The Air, is out on April 30.
The Proclaimers will also play the Cambridge Folk Festival in July.
