TWO ska favourites – The Beat and Neville Staple from The Specials – will appear as part of an exclusive double bill at the Alban Arena in St Albans next week.

TO have played with one classic 80s band is an achievement. To have appeared in two is really saying something and quite special.
The Alban Arena will welcome one such singer to St Albans next week for an extra special night of ska music from both Neville Staple and His Band and The Beat.
Best known for his work writing and composing, Neville enjoyed huge chart success with The Specials in the late 70s and early 80s.
The 2 Tone legends had number one hits in the UK with classics Too Much Too Young and Ghost Town.

Neville was later a founding member of Fun Boy Three, with fellow Specials singers Terry Hall and Lynval Golding.
The trio’s biggest top 10 smash, a collaboration with Bananarama, was It Ain’t What You Do It’s The Way That You Do It.
Other hits include Really Saying Something, Tunnel of Love and Our Lips Are Sealed.
Taking time out from current Specials duties, Neville will perform classics such as A Message To You Rudy and Gangsters at the Arena.
Joining him on a special ska double bill will be The Beat, complete with Ranking Roger on vocals.
The 2 Tone ska revivalists had top 10 hits with Tears of a Clown, Mirror in the Bathroom, Hands off She’s Mine, and Can’t Get Used to Losing You.
The show comes to St Albans on Saturday, April 16 from 8pm.
Tickets cost £24.50 and are available from the box office on 01727 844488.
