ROCK and roll group Animals and Friends will be making an appearance at a theatre near you this week.

On Friday, the group – accompanied by fellow 60s faves The Move – will be on at The Alban Arena in St Albans
Between them, the bands will be performing an array of hits including Flowers In The Rain, I Can Hear The Grass Grow, Blackberry Way, California Man, Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood and, of course, The Animals’ massive selling number one hit House Of The Rising Sun.
The Animals and Friends line-up features founder member of The Animals, John Steel, alongside Micky Gallagher, John Williamson and Peter Barton, ex of The Mindbenders
The Move includes original members, guitarist Trevor Burton and drummer Bev Bevan, who went on to play with ELO and Black Sabbath.
The rest of the band is made up of Phil Tree on bass, Neil Lockwood on keyboards and Gordon Healer on lead guitar – all of whom as members of The Bev Bevan Band have backed on stage Robert Plant, Paul Carrack and Toyah Willcox.
A show spokeswoman said: “Come and celebrate a wealth of fantastic live music and continue the legacy of The Animals and Friends.”
The concert starts at 8pm.
Tickets are from £16.50.
