THE 2010 Sonisphere Festival line-up for Knebworth is taking shape.

IT looks as though Rammstein will headline this year’s Sonisphere Festival on the Saturday night.
The German metal group have listed on their website they are playing Knebworth on July 31 – the middle day of the three-day rock event scheduled for the Hertfordshire stately home between July 30 and August 1.
If correct, that means British heavy metal legends Iron Maiden, the other confirmed headliners, will close the festival on the Sunday night.
That role fell to American metal gods Metallica last year, after nu-metal favourites Linkin Park had headlined the opening day at Knebworth.

Teutonic rockers Rammstein, who are fronted by Till Lindemann, will be making their UK festival debut at Sonisphere and are renowned for their elaborate, over-the-top stage show and explosive pyrotechnics.
Alice Cooper – the godfather of theatrical rock – has already been confirmed by organisers as closing proceedings on the Saturn second stage on the new Friday evening of live music, although it is unclear at the moment whether there will be any acts on the main Apollo stage.
Others playing the touring festival at Knebworth this year include Placebo, Papa Roach, Anthrax, Slayer, Iggy & The Stooges, The Cult, Bring Me The Horizon, Fear Factory and Mötley Crüe.
The next bands announcement is due in mid February after the Download headliners have been confirmed.
