GOODNESS gracious Great Balls of Fire! There will be a Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On at a Stevenage theatre this weekend.

The above line refers to two of Jerry Lee Lewis’ biggest hit singles.

And although the legendary American rock ‘n’ roll pioneer and country music singer-songwriter and pianist won’t be at the Gordon Craig Theatre himself on Friday, The Killer’s younger sister will be as part of the Rockin’ On Heavens Door show.

In her former years, Linda Gail Lewis was probably best known as the highly-gifted duettiste and musical collaborator on umpteen recordings by elder brother Jerry Lee and Irish singer Van Morrison.

Since then the rockin’ red-haired momma from Ferriday, Louisiana, has established herself as an artist in her own right.

The Rockabilly Hall Of Famer tours incessantly, rocking the world with her roll-a-boogie keyboard style and powerhouse vocals.

She has dragged the Lewis legacy kicking and screaming into the 21st century and even finds the time to bang the ivories and rip it up with brother Jerry here and there.

Now in its 14th year, Rockin’ On Heavens Door covers classics by Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly and Eddie Cochran.

Tickets cost £20, with concessions £2 off.

The show starts at 7.45pm.
