Motown legends The Jacksons will be bringing their 50th anniversary celebrations to Newmarket Racecourse this summer.

They will join the 2017 Newmarket Nights season on Friday, June 30.

Previously known as The Jackson 5, The Jacksons will be visiting Newmarket as they celebrate an incredible 50 hit-making years.

Known for hits including ABC, The Love You Save, I Want You Back and I’ll Be There, the group sold millions of records during their time with the legendary Motown label.

Building a reputation for their combination of music and choreography, they scored four number one singles on the American Hot 100 – together with a string of UK Top 40 singles, including Never Can Say Goodbye and the chart-topping Show You The Way To Go.

Tito Jackson said: “We had the privilege of performing for Her Majesty The Queen when we first came to the UK in 1972 and we’re always excited to return.

“The British audiences love their music and we can’t wait to share ours with them when we bring our show to Newmarket Racecourse this summer.”

The Jockey Club Live has also confirmed electronic duo Chase & Status will appear at Newmarket on Friday, August 11.

Amy Starkey, Regional Director East of Jockey Club Racecourses, said: “We can’t wait to welcome both Chase & Status and The Jacksons to Newmarket Nights for the first time this summer.

“With The Jacksons celebrating their 50th anniversary year, we’re delighted to be sharing their celebrations with them and am sure they’ll be performing a set to remember, packed full of some of their biggest hits.”

Tickets for the open air concert will go on sale at 8am on Friday, March 24 via www.thejockeyclublive.co.uk, with a pre-sale available to customers at 8am on Wednesday, March 22.

Tickets for The Jacksons are priced starting at £26 adult and £13 child (under-18). Please note child tickets are limited.

In addition to Newmarket, The Jockey Club Live will be hosting live concerts across Aintree, Sandown Park, Carlisle, Haydock Park, Wincanton, Epsom Downs and Market Rasen racecourses this summer.
