THE second wave of bands playing the 2012 Sonisphere Festival at Knebworth Park this summer will be announced tonight (Monday).

Having confirmed Queen with Adam Lambert, Kiss and Faith No More as headliners of the three-day rock bash last month, organisers will announce more of the line-up this evening.

Sonisphere’s official Twitter account tweeted earlier today: “Tune in for announcement tonight for Sonisphere Knebworth on Radio 1 Rock Show with @DanielPCarter”.

The international touring festival rolls into the grounds of Knebworth House from Friday, July 6 to Sunday, July 8.

Kiss will headline the opening Friday night, with Aussie rockers Wolfmother and Within Temptation also playing.

Rock legends Queen will return to Knebworth with former American Idol singer Adam Lambert on the Saturday.

The middle day’s line-up also includes musical comedian Tim Minchin, Evanescence, Gojira and The Darkness.

FNM will close the Apollo stage on the Sunday night, with Incubus, Marilyn Manson, Mastodon, Cypress Hill, Andrew W.K. and Refused also on the bill.

Weekend tickets, three and four-day camping passes and a very limited number of day tickets for the festival are on sale now.

A deposit scheme allows festival-goers to pay £50 now, with the balance due before May 1.
