THE first line-up announcement for Reading & Leeds Festival 2014 will be made next week.

Organisers of the twin-sited rock festival will confirm the first act playing the August Bank Holiday bonanza on Tuesday, December 3.

A tweet from the official Reading & Leeds Festival feed (@OfficialRandL) read: “First #RandL14 announcements are coming NEXT TUESDAY. You won’t want to miss this – £50 saves your space!”

Tickets will go on sale at 9am, with a £50 deposit scheme in operation.

The line-up announcement will be made after 7pm on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show.

This year’s Reading & Leeds weekend featured UK festival exclusive headline performances from Green Day, Eminem and Biffy Clyro.
