One of the country’s leading modern jazz pianists is coming to Welwyn Garden City this weekend for a concert.

The first Herts Jazz Club concert of the year takes place on Sunday, January 14.

Gareth Williams’ Glow Quartet will be performing in the Screen 2 auditorium of the Garden City Cinema complex.

A fiery and creative pianist, Gareth’s remarkable talent has been seen with an impressive array of world-class artists, from jazz/hip hop band ‘Us3’ through to internationally-renowned jazz musicians such as Joe Lovano, Jerry Bergonzi, George Coleman and Jim Mullen.

Joining him at the CW Entertainment venue at Campus West will be Trish Clowes on sax, Calum Gourlay on bass and Martin France on drums.

Sunday’s concert starts at 7.30pm.

Advance tickets for Sunday’s gig cost £5 students, £10 members, £12 concessions and £13 full.

Walk-ups on the night are £7 students, £11 members, £14 concessions and £15 full.
