Organisers of Eastern Electrics 2017 will reveal the music festival’s new location soon after moving from Hatfield.

The electronic dance music extravaganza has been held in the grounds of Hatfield House, in Hertfordshire, for three years.

But organisers have relocated in 2017 to an as yet unnamed central London site for this summer’s festival on Saturday, August 5.

After announcing the EE2017 line-up last week featuring Carl Cox among others, festival promoters have revealed their sadness over the Hatfield switch in a picture posted on Instagram.

Eastern Electrics wrote: “We’ll miss the sunny grounds of Hatfield House, but onwards and upwards to better things – venue news will be coming in the next few weeks...”

The festival was held at Knebworth House, just up the A1(M) motorway from Hatfield, for one year before moving to Hatfield House in 2014.

It will now take place somewhere in London.
