A classical meets dance music concert coming to Hatfield for the first time this summer is on course to sell out.
Classic Ibiza with Ministry of Sound takes place at Hatfield House on Saturday, September 1.
Following the resounding success of Classic Ibiza with Ministry of Sound in 2017, demand is high for tickets for this year’s concert in the grounds of Hatfield House.
Organisers expect the September showcase featuring the Urban Soul Orchestra (USO), DJ Goldierocks and a host of live vocalists to sell-out ahead of schedule.
Lisa Ward, of organisers Revival Productions, said: “We carefully plan every aspect of Classic Ibiza to ensure that everyone that attends the concert is assured of having a truly unforgettable evening.
“We’ve worked with the fantastic Urban Soul Orchestra for a number of years and can guarantee that they will put on an amazing show.
“My team’s job is to enhance people’s experience so that they want to come back for more.”
Classic Ibiza arrived in Hertfordshire for the first time in 2017 at Knebworth House.
The venue, however, has moved this year with Herts stately home Hatfield House hosting the USO and vocalists performing some of the biggest dance tracks from the last 20 years.
Lisa explained: “Hatfield has been selected this year because of its easy access to transport links, with Hatfield station being located opposite the pedestrian entrance to the grounds.
“In addition, we ensure that people can get on and off the site easily, can enjoy themselves in a safe environment and don’t have to queue for ages to use the toilet.
“Considering the amount of repeat bookings that we have received, our approach appears to be working.
“So, if you are coming and want to bring your family and friends along too, it’s advisable to book your tickets now.”
Adult tickets are £39.50, while it’s £17.50 for children aged five to 16. Under-fives are free.
The evening will start with a chill-out set where people can enjoy their picnics and a drink, or dance along as the sun goes down.
DJ Goldierocks, aka Sam Hall, will turn things up during the interval, getting the crowd into the mood before the USO and vocalists return to the stage to ramp things up into full party mode.
The second set last year started with Fat Boy Slim’s Right Here Right Now and Faithless’ Insomnia.
The euphoric crowd responded by getting on their feet and dancing, while the accompanying lasers turned the setting into a magical, al fresco nightclub.
One classic dance track followed another and the atmosphere was electric.
This year’s set list will include a number of new tracks that are sure to thrill the crowd.
To add to the excitement, at Easter concert-goers will be able to suggest their favourite dance anthems to be included in the programme on social media. More details of this will follow soon.
Because of the increased capacity at this year’s concert, giant screens will be positioned around the stage to ensure that everyone can soak up the atmosphere.
Gates will open at 5.30pm, with an hour-long chill-out set starting at 7.30pm.
The interval with live DJ runs from 8.30pm until 9pm when the dance set and laser light show commences.
The concert will finish around 10.15pm.
