Herts Jazz Club patron Art Themen will pair up with a leading saxophonist for this week’s concert in Welwyn Garden City.

Art Themen and the fabulous Alex Garnett will play Herts Jazz at the CW Entertainment venue on Sunday night.

Alex has been one of the leading saxophonists in the UK and mainland Europe for over two decades, being instantly recognised by his dark, husky sound.

A versatile musician and first call sideman, he has enjoyed success as both a jazz artist, composer and arranger, and an in-demand session, studio and commercial saxophonist, having racked up countless recording credits along the way.

Joining Art and Alex in Screen 2 of the Garden City Cinema on Sunday will be John Turville on piano, Arnie Somogyi on bass, and Clark Tracey on drums.

Advance tickets cost £3 students, £9 members, £11 concessions and £12 full.

Walk-ups are £5 students, £10 members, £13 concessions and £14 full. Doors are at 7.30pm.
