ELECTRONIC music pioneer Gary Numan will appear live in concert in Hatfield later this year.
Best known for 1979 chart-toppers Are ‘Friends’ Electric?, as Tubeway Army, and Cars, the legendary artist arrives at the University of Hertfordshire’s Forum on Sunday, December 11 as part of his UK tour promoting forthcoming album Dead Sons Rising.
After more than 30 years in the music business, Numan’s influence on the likes of Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, Marilyn Manson and Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor was acknowledged with the ‘Inspiration’ gong at the recent Mojo awards.
He made an appearance at Knebworth last year, taking the stage before Friday night Sonisphere 2010 festival headliner Alice Cooper.
Numan also lent his vocals to the track My Machines off Battles’ current album Gloss Drop.
Tickets for his Hatfield show went on sale last week costing £25 – click on the link above right.
