From playing drums in classic grunge outfit Nirvana to fronting all-conquering American rockers Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl has made his mark on music.

And Fu Fighters play The Green Room at The Doctors Tonic pub on Saturday night.

As the name suggests, Fu Fighters are a tribute to Grohl’s hard rockers, famous for hits such as All My Life, This is a Call, Learn To Fly and Monkey Wrench.

Band member Alex Brooks said: “We have been going for about nine years and mostly play at The Horn in St Albans where we have a pretty good following, but we have played in Essex and Cambridgeshire where we once supported Supergrass at a summer ball at the university.

“This will be the first time we have played The Doctors Tonic and are currently busy rehearsing for the show.”

Doors open at 8pm and The Green Room gig starts at 9pm.

Tickets cost £6.
