REMEMBER to put your clocks back an hour tonight (Saturday) before you go to bed as British Summer Time ends this weekend.

When the clocks change

* In spring, the clocks go forward, losing an hour – at 1am GMT the UK moves to 2am BST.

* In autumn, the clocks fall back, giving an extra hour – at 2am BST the UK moves to 1am GMT.

So when exactly do the clocks change tonight?

British Summer Time (BST) will end in the early hours of Sunday, October 27, 2013.

Clocks should be put back 60 minutes at 2am, as the UK reverts to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

This means gaining an extra hour in bed on Sunday morning.

As a result of the change, there will be more daylight in the mornings and evenings will be darker earlier.

BST traditionally starts on the last Sunday in March and ends on the final Sunday in October.

And when do the clocks go forward and back in 2014?

The daylight saving time dates for next year are March 30 and October 26.

And in 2015, the clocks spring forward on March 29 and fall back on October 25.
