Grease will be the word on Saturday night

For Drive-In Movies will return to Hatfield House from Friday, September 3 to Sunday, September 5.

Mafia classic The Godfather (18) and musicals Grease (PG) and The Sound of Music (U) will be shown on successive nights in the Hatfield park.

Francis Ford Coppola’s 1972 Oscar-winning gangster film The Godfather, starring Marlon Brando and Al Pacino as Don Vito Corleone and Michael Corleone respectively, is an offer you can’t refuse on the big screen on Friday night.

John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John as love-sick pair Danny Zuko and Sandy belting out Summer Nights will be the one that you want the following evening in hit musical Grease.

And the Hatfield park will be alive with Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music on Sunday night.

The films will all be shown in the Queen Elizabeth Oak Field at Hatfield House, with sound broadcast via your car radio

Gates open at 6pm and the films will start at approximately 8pm sunset each evening.

Food stands will also be on site to provide customers with cinema related snacks, plus the option to have a freshly baked pizza delivered to your car before or during the film.

Movie fans can save money by booking their tickets online in advance – £20 per car in advance; £25 per car on the day (up to five passengers). Any additional passengers will cost £3 each.
