ARE you off to see the Wizard in Welwyn Garden City?
A PROFESSIONAL production of The Wizard Of Oz – appearing at the Hawthorne Theatre in WGC this Easter – is looking for talented youngsters to appear on stage alongside Dorothy and her companions.
Bruce James Productions is looking for a variety of young people, aged between eight to 18, to play Munchkins, Emerald City Citizens and dancers to transport Dorothy to Oz in the Tornado Ballet.
Together with professional actors playing Scarecrow, Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion, they will be able to attempt to defeat the plans of the Wicked Witch of The West in the famous stage musical.
Actors and dancers selected will have the opportunity to be an important part of this panto-style adventure.
Anyone interested should email campuswest@welhat.gov.uk with ‘OZ’ as the subject line.
Auditions will be held in March and rehearsals start on April 8.
The Wizard of Oz plays at the WGC theatre from Thursday, April 12 to Saturday, April 14 at 1pm and 4pm. Tickets cost £12, and £8 concessions.
