THE 2010 Sonisphere Festival at Knebworth House will be bigger than ever with an extra day added.

ALICE Cooper will play Sonisphere’s new third day at Knebworth next year.
The rock and metal festival is set to be an even bigger monster in 2010, with the extra day of music added.
The festivities will now start on Friday, July 30, with a Rocky Horror Show theme, and Alice Cooper – the legendary godfather of theatrical rock – will close the evening on the Saturn stage with his only UK festival performance of 2010.
In addition to the acts on the Saturn stage, there will be bands performing on two tented stages from 6pm until 11pm.

The other weekend headliners are British heavy metal legends Iron Maiden and German industrial rockers Rammstein.
Other groups confirmed for Sonisphere include Anthrax, The Cult, Iggy & The Stooges and Slayer.
They will all be making their only UK festival appearances of the year at Knebworth.
Glam-metallers Motley Crue will also be making their only UK appearance of 2010 at Sonisphere.
Tickets went on sale at 6pm tonight (Wednesday).
Full weekend tickets, including camping, cost £157.50 with no booking fee.
And as a special Christmas present, the first several thousand tickets paid for in full will come with a free ticket for the new Sonisphere in Poland!
Like Knebworth, the Sonisphere tour has expanded and will now take in 11 events next year, with headliners including Iron Maiden, Metallica and Rammstein.
