Welwyn Hatfield Mosquitos American Football team are one step closer to the top tier of the sport after their latest assessment.

With a permanent home at Sir Frederic Osborn School secured and posts installed, the team just need to increase the number of players to seal a place in the British American Football League.

Chairman Chris Eastwood said: “The club has come on leaps and bounds since moving to Sir Fred’s. Our coaching team can help anybody learn this game.

“Whether you’re playing another sport and keen to expand your skills or new to sport but would like to learn, there’s a place for you here.

“American Football is a great sport for people of all shapes and sizes, the only trait you need is commitment.”

The team train on Sunday mornings between 10am and 1pm and anyone aged 18 and over is welcome to attend.
