Two Paul Davis Fencing Academy students from Welwyn Hatfield selected for England duty

Seven fencers from Paul Davis Fencing Academy have been selected for England.

Seven fencers from Paul Davis Fencing Academy have been selected to compete for England in the Challenge Wratislavia in Poland – with two of them coming from Welwyn Hatfield.

Evie Bullman and Amber Smith will both be in the U15 team for next year’s international tournament.

In total 10 places were available on the U15 squad and a further six in the U13 category.

To gain selection ranking points were accumulated from national events throughout the year.

Coach, and Academy manager Paul Davis, said: “These girls thoroughly deserve this call up to represent their country and continues the successful line of Queenswood School Girls making it onto the National Team.”

Paul Davis Fencing Academy is based in St Albans and it is from there that a further three of the England-selected fencers have come.
