It is now seven wins on the bounce for the seemingly unstoppable Tewin Cricket Club after their six-wicket victory away at Eversholt 2nds in Division Six A.

Bowling first on a flat wicket, the Tewin bowlers stuck to their task, restricting Eversholt and only home skipper Jake Nichols had any joy, as he batted through to a fantastic 165 not out.

But despite this, Tewin kept the other batsmen in check with Dan Smith and Will Pickworth both picking up three wickets and Paul Shankster two as Eversholt finished on 259-9.

The reply was held together by Jordan Brunel (50) and Luke Wilde (99) who put on a fantastic partnership for the second wicket.

And after Wilde agonisingly fell one run short of his century, Pickworth (47*) and Ben Sheppard (29*) saw Tewin home with 10 overs to spare.

The seconds lost to Ware 2nds by two wickets.

Fred Kelly hit a classy 47 and Paul Hiskens an elegant 44 but it was not enough.
