WELWYN Rugby Club’s first XV return to league action on Saturday following the festive break.

They host Grasshoppers in the London 2 North West in their first match of 2012.

When the two sides met back in September they played out a 32-32 draw after Welwyn had trailed 24-8 at half-time in Middlesex.

The side from Hobbs Way are currently second bottom of the league table.

They have a total of 14 points from 12 games after a win, two draws and nine defeats so far this season.
