Alex Goode rewarded for stellar form with player of the month award

Alex Goode has been named as the Gallagher Premiership Rugby player of the month for October.

The Saracens full-back has been in sparkling form as the Allianz Park-based club topped the table.

The stats show that the number 15 had beaten 28 defenders by the end of round six, gained 438 metres in 74 carries and was the club’s leading off-loader as Saracens made an unbeaten start to the season.

Director of rugby Mark McCall said: “Alex is a key player in our squad and is in the form of his life. As a club we are thrilled that his outstanding performances have been recognised in this way.”

He was in a four-way battle for the award alongside Worcester Warriors’ Ryan Mills, Mark Wilson of Newcastle Falcons and former Harpenden St George’s pupil, George Ford from Leicester Tigers.

He was presented with his award by Matt Stevens, principal of the new Saracens High School.
