Hertfordshire bowls development officer Graham Marriner has been elected president of the Eastern Counties Bowling Association (ECBA).
The Potters Bar Bowls Club player was elected at the Chesterton IBC in Cambridge.
The ECBA was formed in 1967 and is an Association of seven counties, Bedfordshire CBA, Bowls Cambridgeshire, Essex CBA, Hertfordshire Bowls, Huntingdon CBA, Norfolk (BE) BA and Suffolk (BE) BA.
They have a strong league fixtures programme, inter-Association fixtures and some serious competitions played by the crop of the senior County bowlers.
The Under-30s League played between the seven counties has produced national champions in the sport.
Each county hold the presidential office every seventh year.
Graham, supported by the Hertfordshire Bowls Executive, is now set to ‘carry the flag’ for the ECBA and bowls.
