New Tiger Club captains Stephanie Conder and George Nicholson drove off beautifully in front of fellow Tigers and parents at Mill Green last weekend.
The frosty conditions didn’t seem to dampen any spirit and certainly not the quality of golf as several Tigers beat their handicaps.
In Division 4, Mackensey Pullen had the round of the day and a personal best with a 48 net 18.
Mill Green head professional Ian Parker said: “Mackensey has been steadily improving over the last couple of months but to shoot nine under his handicap is an amazing effort”.
Thomas Jagger won Division 3 with a 48 net 26.
Tiger professional John Pasby said: “Thomas has been working hard at The Tiger Club Programme level two sessions and I have seen a marked improvement in his ball striking and touch around the greens.”
Matthew Willis won Division 2 with a 42 net 22.
Ian Parker, added: “Matthew’s work ethic is brilliant, he spends a lot of time practicing outside of Tiger sessions and fully deserves the win.”
Louis Hume won Division One with a score of 21 net 27.
Tiger professional Matt Spencer said: “Louis works hard during his group lessons.
“He also got a lot of inspiration when Tom Lewis come to the Tiger club before Christmas.”
County golfer Sam Nicholls shot another consistent round of 31 to pick up the Premier Division top spot.
Both captains made great speeches and are very much looking forward to their time as captains.
If your child is interested in learning to play golf at Mill Green, they have an extensive Tiger Club programme that includes: free trials, group lessons, camps and playing sessions.
