World champion Lewis Hamilton produced a stunning drive to finish fourth in the 2017 Brazilian Grand Prix.

The four-time Formula One champion started from the pitlane in Brazil following his crash in qualifying on Saturday.

Nevertheless, the 32-year-old Mercedes driver from Hertfordshire carved his way through the field to finish just off the podium at Interlagos.

Hamilton incredibly led the race at one point as the front runners pitted for tyres.

When Hamilton finally pitted from the front on lap 44 after a long first stint, he returned to the track down in fifth place.

He hunted down Max Verstappen’s Red Bull for fourth place but was unable to catch Kimi Raikkonen in the closing laps.

Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel took the chequered flag at Autódromo José Carlos Pace ahead of pole-sitter Valtteri Bottas.

Raikkonen took the third and final place on the podium.
