Welwyn Pegasus U14 Royals progressed to the Hertfordshire County Cup semi-final thanks to a comprehensive 7-0 home win against Sun Sports Youth Yellows.

Pegasus were excellent from the start, with their movement and quick passing game proving too much for their opponents, who just couldn’t deal with the Royals’ high pressing game.

Conor Garrett got the first goal, converting Fin Wheeler’s cross, and Tom Saunders nodded in the second from a Joe Ashton corner.

Garrett got his second and Welwyn’s third with Jack Wiltshire rounding off a powerful first-half performance when he converted the fourth.

An excellent run and cross from the right by Garrett found Alex Manhood for number five and the same duo, following quick distribution from keeper Louie Miracco, combined for the sixth.

Ashton curled in a beauty from the edge of the box to finish the scoring.
