Welwyn started the game confidently and had the better of the early exchanges before they took the lead, Matt Wren reacting quickest when his first shot was saved.

Skipper Matthew Hunt had an impressive game at centre back and along with keeper Adam Hutton marshalled Welwyn’s defensive team extremely well, keeping Bar’s attacking threat to a minimum.

Welwyn went into half time a little disappointed not to have scored more than one goal but were pleased with their overall performance.

Pegasus went further ahead half-way through the second period.

An in-swinging corner by Josh Manhood was headed to the far post by Wren and Tyler Edward was on hand to finish off with a fine header of his own.
