An amazing season for Welham Albion Warriors could get even better after they were invited to compete in a prestigious international tournament – but only if they can raise the money required.

The U10 side collected four trophies during last year’s campaign and also got to the final of the Emirates Youth Cup, held inside the Emirates Stadium, home of Arsenal.

But being selected to participate as England’s representatives in the International Cup at St George’s Park comes at a cost.

Welham chairman John Shearer said: “What this team is achieving is amazing but there are player fees, team fees and travel expenses to worry about.

“We are only asking for a small percentage of our cost to ensure the team’s entry. We are desperate for the team to fulfil there dreams.”

They have set-up a crowdfunding page at www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/welhamalbion?utm_id=2&utm_term=2bQAPGPbw
