POTTERS Bar Town bounced back from two consecutive Ryman League defeats to claim a 4-1 triumph away to Waltham Forest on Tuesday night.

Although the result appeared comfortable for the visitors, Bar had to ride their luck at times.

Forest hit the cross-bar before the away side took the lead through top scorer James Gershfield on 30 minutes.

The hosts struck the frame of the goal a second time as they looked for a leveller.

It didn’t come though and midfielder Joe O’Brien made it 2-0 on 35 minutes.

Gershfield added a third in a crucial nine minutes before the break.

With the game all but over, Forest incredibly hit the bar again in the 67th minute.

It certainly was not their night as the ball was transfered straight to the other end where Jose Espinosa marked his return to the Scholars with the fourth goal.

Richard Shittu hit a late consolation for Forest as the game ended 4-1.

Potters Bar are away to Waltham Abbey on Saturday in Division One North.
