Archant

A great January for Potters Bar Town has been recognised after manager Steve Ringrose was named as manager of the month for the Bostik League North Division.

The Scholars have risen to third in the table on the back of six wins and one draw from their eight league games this month.

That includes a run of four straight successes with three of them against sides in and around Bar in the promotion-chasing pack, Haringey Borough, Maldon & Tiptree and Bowers & Pitsea.

And with games in hand they are breathing down the neck of the automatic positions.

That was enough for the judges of the Mitre-sponsored awards to plump for Ringrose.

Bar are next in action on Saturday when they host Aveley at the Pakex Stadium.

Kick-off is at 3pm.
