Welwyn Pegasus Royals attack against St Albans Rangers

Welwyn Pegasus Royals under-15s put St Albans Rangers Blues to the sword in their Herts Challenge Cup tie at the weekend.

Buoyed by their 5-2 league win over Broxbourne, Pegs took the lead through Alex Manhood after a great move.

Conor Garrett headed a second, before Manhood held off two defenders and finished well and Joe Ashton added a fourth.

Jack Wiltshire smashed home a fifth before the break and Pegs continued to dominate in the second half.

Centre-back Tom Saunders fired a first-time shot from long range past the Saints keeper for the sixth and Wiltshire added a fierce finish of his own from the edge of the box to make it 7-0.

Right-back Finley Kelly showed his attacking prowess once again as he went on to complete an excellent hat-trick as Pegs finished 10-0 winners.

And their reward for such a success was a home derby with Panshanger Lions in the next round.
