Hatfield Town win relegation six-pointer against Hanwell

HATFIELD Town secured a “massive” three points on Saturday as they defeated relegation rivals and bottom side Hanwell Town 2-1.

A brace of penalties and a majestic performance from Terry Caswell won it for the Gosling Stadium-based outfit.

The result sees the Blueboys move eight points clear of The Geordies in the South Midlands Premier Division after the huge six-pointer at Perivale.

Hatfield boss Darryn Stewart was clearly relieved to secure the victory.

“It was a massive three points against Hanwell, a really good result and hopefully it can give the lads more confidence to kick on and move away from relegation,” he said.
