THE season-end can’t come quickly enough for Hatfield Town after a 6-0 defeat against St Margaretsbury.

In what has become an all-too familiar scenario for Town, they were going well for 43 minutes until St Margaretsbury scored and heads went down.

Anthony Anstead netted with two minutes to go until half-time, and only a minute later Dave Edmee made it 2-0 at the break.

Ricky Light made it 3-0 on the 50-minute mark, and a brace for Leigh Rose and a Steve Tutalamo goal sealed an emphatic victory.

It was a very inexperienced Town outfit which took to the field, including four players drafted in from the Under-18 side.

Although they battled hard and worked for each other, St Margaretsbury proved too clinical.
