Goals from Lee Newman and a Daryl Smith penalty guided Kevin Pearman and Daryll Stewart’s Blueboys outfit only their second win in their last eight league games.

The victory was very much a welcome win seen that the side directly below them in second-bottom, Holmer Green, defeated Hertford Town 2-0 and bottom team Hanwell Town drew 2-2 away at Broxbourne Borough.

Hopefully the three points picked up will give the team confidence to climb clear of the South Midlands Premier Division relegation zone, with their next league game a derby clash at home to Colney Heath.

The Covered Roofing Supplies man of the match for Saturday’s match against Hillingdon was David Reade.
