HEAVY frost on Friday night/Saturday morning caused a host of football fixtures across the region to be postponed.
Hatfield Town had their Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division encounter at Holmer Green called off.
It was a similar decision at Herns Lane where Welwyn Garden City’s home clash with Cranfield United was frozen off with both sets of players at the ground ready to contest the Division One match.
It was the same story in the Herts Senior County League.
Codicote will have to re-arrange their home Premier Division game with Buntingford Town that was also off, as was AFC Hatfield Town’s meeting with Old Parmiterians in Division One.
Half of the fixtures the following day in the Welwyn Hatfield Sunday Football League were also affected by the cold spell.
